Main Street Alabama will hold its 2025 New City Application Workshop at the Eufaula Barbour County Chamber of Commerce on January 28. Other workshops will be held in Birmingham on January 14 and in Florence on January 21. The sessions are expected to last from 1 to 4 p.m.

Leadership Barbour held its Public Safety Day on November 14. The day started at the Eufaula Community Center with a tour of the newly renovated facility conducted by Parks and Recreation Director, Keef Pettis. The class then visited with Jason Trahan, Eufaula Code Enforcer; Daniel Trammel, Eufaula Animal Control Manager; Barbour County Sheriff, Tyrone Smith; and Barbour County Game Warden, Johnny Johnson. Ann Sparks with Main Street Eufaula presented the class with information on the Santa for Seniors program. The Eufaula Police Department conducted a SWAT demonstration and a K-9 demonstration. After a lunch sponsored by Trustmark Bank, the group traveled to the Eufaula Police Department where they toured and visited with Chief Danny Crist. The group then went to the Eufaula Fire Department station on Orange Street where they were greeted by Fire Chief, Ryan Feggins and toured the facility.
Crowne Health Care of Eufaula is asking for volunteers to help make the holidays merry and bright for their residents.
