Couple arrested in Eufaula

A couple was arrested in Eufaula Saturday night who were wanted for a May 8 murder in Dothan. Eufaula Police and a Barbour County Sheriff’s Office deputy were able to find and turn Courtney Ingram, 33, and Richard Bishop, 31, over to Dothan police after being taken into custody. They were both charged with Murder for the death of Patrick Parrish. Ingram was arrested on Lunsford Drive and Bishop was arrested near Jack’s.

National Board approves supplement emergency funds for Barbour County

Barbour County has been chosen to receive $7,319.00 to supplement emergency food and shelter programs in the county. The selection was made by a national board that is chaired by the Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency and consists of representatives from the Salvation Army, American Red Cross, United Jewish Communities, Catholic Charities, USA, National Council of the Churches of Christ in the USA and United Way of America.
