ADMINISTERED OATHS OF OFFICE

Local legislators take oaths of office
Sen. Billy Beasley and Rep. Berry Forte were administered their oaths of office Tuesday at the Barbour County courthouse in Clayton. Circuit Judge Burt Smithart administered the oaths to the two state legislators who were re-elected to serve another four-year term in the November 8 General Election.

As we prepare for Thanksgiving, we think about the many blessings for which we can be so thankful. With so much going on around us, we are all surrounded by blessing that are insurmountable. We give God our thanks for all our blessings. We wish all a very festive time with family and friends and safe travels to those who will be on the road.

Performances of The Red Door Theatre’s production of A Christmas Tuna will be held in Union Springs December 1 - December 4. The curtain will open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m.
Eufaula High School FFA awarded 3 Star National Chapter Award
With nearly 70,000 FFA members in attendance, Eufaula High School FFA was awarded the highest chapter award, the 3 Star National Chapter Award, at the 95th National FFA Convention held recently in Indianapolis, IN.

I thought we should be thankful for all things, but our study said that many people who do not have much are more thankful than most Americans.
