We never know what the weather conditions will bring for us. We go from freezing temperatures to warm weather in the mid-70s in December. It’s wonderful when the weather is comfortable even during the winter months. In spite of the warm temperatures we are having this week, the dainty paper white narcissus are blooming. They are always so pretty this time of year as well as the wide variety of camellias we have in our area.

Eight homes open for Christmas tour

Eight homes are decorated for the Christmas season and will be open to visitors this weekend for the Eufaula Heritage Association’s 16 Annual Christmas Tour of Homes. Visitors will be enchanted with the presentations throughout the homes of “Christmas Past” as well as those from “Christmas Present.” A QR code appears on Page 8 of this edition of The Record which can be scanned with a phone’s camera to view an interactive map of the homes on tour.

Vendors start at 10:00 a.m. Tree Lighting starts at 5:30 p.m. (Dark) There will be over 20 vendors, food trucks, Grinch pictures, face painting and crafts for children, Santa Claus, music, raffles, Zoo Crew and a live nativity! Zoo Crew , available 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., is similar to the “Build A Bear” layout in mall stores, except it is mobile.
