Mistletoe: A longtime Christmas tradition

Hanging a sprig of mistletoe in a doorway is a longtime Christmas tradition. Traditionally, you’re suppose to remove one berry for every kiss taken under the mistletoe. Just what is mistletoe? The original mistletoe is a European shrub (Viscum album) that grows parasitically on various trees. It has oblong leaves and small yellowish green flowers. In winter it is covered with small white berries.
