A Barbour County High School student was transported by ambulance after sustaining injuries in an altercation Monday morning. Law enforcement officers and Clayton Rescue were dispatched to the school in Clayton about 11 a.m. where students were reported in an altercation in the front hallway of the school. The incident reportedly involved about 10 students and school officials posted on social media that the incident was “quickly resolved and under control.”
Eufaula Carnegie Library will host a program on the Reconstruction Era featuring Dr. Richard Bailey and Pulitzer Prizewinning columnist Kyle Whitmire on Saturday, September 9, at 10:00 a.m. The program will take place in the library auditorium and is free to the public.
