Assistance available for eligible farms and ranches from January tornado under Emergency Conservation Program

A tornado in January 2023 caused severe damage in the areas around Elamville and Blue Springs. Farms and ranches suffering severe damage may be eligible for assistance under the Emergency Conservation Program (ECP) administered by the Barbour County Farm Service Agency (FSA).

Leadership Barbour group explores Eufaula

Leadership Barbour Class XVI spent Thursday, March 9 exploring different aspects of Eufaula and the surrounding community. Brad Moore, president of Friends of Lake Eufaula, gave a presentation at the Eufaula Barbour County Chamber of Commerce on his organization and what its members do to help the lake for visitors, land owners, and the community.

Calvary Church hosts ministry run March 25

Pastor Randy Adams and the congregation at Calvary Assembly of God Church invites everyone to participate in the Honor Bound Motorcycle Ministry Domino Run on Saturday, March 25. The run will begin at Calvary Church and will have five stops. The cost will be $20.00 for riders and $5.00 for passengers. The person with the highest number wins 50% of the pot. Men wreck after high-speed chase

Three men were ejected from the vehicle in which they were traveling in a wreck following a high-speed chase Saturday night. Barbour County deputies identified the occupants as Algie Jaral Williams, 24, who was the driver, Joshua Jaylen Wynn, 21, front seat passenger, and Deonterrius Markeith Finch,19, back seat passenger.
