There will be something for everyone to enjoy this weekend during Eufaula’s 56th Pilgrimage of Homes, whether it’s stepping back in time to visit historic homes, sit back to enjoy talented musicians, shopping and dining, or browsing to fine the perfect antique to take home. There are even opportunities on tap to learn about some of the people who helped shape Eufaula’s rich history by attending the Tales from the Tomb at Fairview Cemetery and Shorter Cemetery, as well as seeing a live wax museum at the Carnegie Library. Much more awaits visitors this weekend for Alabama’s oldest tour of homes.

Barbour County Commission to hold public meetings to discuss funding for Medical Center Barbour

Barbour County Commissioners voted to have two public hearings to obtain public input on providing funds for Barbour County’s only hospital, Medical Center Barbour, Eufaula. The vote was taken in a special called meeting Monday afternoon, March 27, at 4:00 p.m. in the Barbour County Courthouse in Clayton.

Musicians to provide entertainment at pilgrimage

This weekend’s 56th Pilgrimage is Eufaula promises to offer a wide variety of activities one of which will be talented musicians who will be entertaining pilgrims. All of the performances are free and have been made possible by a $3,800 grant from the Alabama State Council on the Arts which is made possible through funding from an annual appropriation from the Alabama Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts.

Local students named to TU Chancellor’s List

Troy University is pleased to announce students who have been named to the Chancellor's List for Term 3 of the 2022-2023 academic year. Full-time undergraduate students who are registered for at least 12 semester hours and who earn a grade point average of 4.0 qualify for the Chancellor's List. Term 3 includes students at TROY's campuses in Dothan, Phenix City and Montgomery, Ala., along with students outside of Alabama and online.
