Punxsutawney Phil or Monte Sano Maurice?

Growing up, Groundhog Day was always a confusing time for me, but not for what you would assume to be the obvious reasons. I didn't really ask all the obvious questions surrounding this holiday such as: How can a mere rodent predict a late or early Spring? Why is the groundhog's prediction different from the meteorologist's? And, if the groundhog is often wrong, why do people keep trusting his predictions year after year?

When will it snow?

When you live in the same house with a six-yearold between the months of November and February, you hear one question on an almost daily basis: "When will it snow?" Or, at least, that's the case for me and my daughter, Rebekah. Rebekah loves snow. Which is strange because she's only ever seen snow once in her life. She was just three years old, but she remembers every detail, regarding it as the best day of her life.
