Joe Warr, 90, of St. Simons Island, GA passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Hospice of the Golden Isles, Brunswick, GA.

Survivors include his daughter, Patricia Baker (Phillip) and Jim Warr, (Lyn) of Saint Simons Island and Bill Warr (Susan) of Vestavia Hills, AL. He is also survived by six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Surviving sisters include Elaine Killingsworth (Thomas) and Jackie Guthrie (Keith-deceased) of Clayton, AL.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Harrison Warr, and sisters, Martha Bush and Sara Lott of Clayton, AL.

Joe was born on January 6, 1933, in Clayton, Alabama to parents Clyde and Lula Warr. He married his high school sweetheart,Patricia Harrison, and they enjoyed 64 wonderful years until Pat’s death on September 14, 2015. Joe graduated from Clayton High School and Auburn University with a degree in Business Administration. He enjoyed a successful career in the oil industry for over 50 years.

Joe was a member of Saint Simons First Baptist Church. He will be remembered as a devoted father and brother who enjoyed life and family.

Family services were held Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 11:00 in Clayton, Alabama.
