Those attending the Annual Community Garden picnic in Clayton are pictured along with Jeanetta Britt, seated, second from left, founder of the Twelve Stones Community Garden in Clayton. The garden is located on family property of Ms. Britt. The special event was held July 26 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Community Gardens located on Browder Street. Those attending enjoyed free food fresh off the grill, cooked by Monroe McCall and Charles Posey. There was plenty of good food and great fellowship with a good time had by all who attended. Other activities included listening and dancing to music, provided by Darrell Byrd, playing dominoes, working and gathering food from the garden. Rev. Johnny McCray prayed for the ground and harvest. The event was highlighted this year by the partnership with the Buffalo Soldiers, Eufaula Club. The president of the club, Eli ‘Hoopz’ Miller, who blessed the food, is pictured above along with other club riders, including Gary Henderson and James Thomas, Additional club members and community participants are also shown. Appreciation is expressed to the community coming out to celebrate the 2025 harvest at the Twelve Stones Community Garden in Clayton! “No rules, just love!”
