PENNYAUCTION - Bill Elkins is shown auctioning items at the Clayton Senior Center’s Penny Auction held recently. Participants were enthusiastic as they bid on the donated items, hoping to win the items of their choice. Anyone who wishes to donate items for events at the Clayton Senior Center or to volunteer may contact the director, Kim Singleton, at 334-621-5004. Items also may be left at the center located at 51 North Midway Street in Clayton. Participants also encourage everyone to attend their May Day Festival to be held on the grounds of the Octagon House on May 3 from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Hot dogs, popcorn, a lemonade stand will be available and jewelry, plants and crafts will be available for purchase. Any donations will be appreciated. Admission is free!
