Betty Ruth Smith, 75, of Eufaula, Alabama, died
Friday, March 1, 2024 at her residence.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 4, 2024, at 2 P.M., at Parkview Baptist Church. The Rev. Herman Parker officiated and burial followed in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery at 10 A.M., Tuesday, March 5, 2024 with Chapman Funeral Home directing.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Alzheimer’s Association or to the Parkview Christian School in memory of Audra Gem Youngblood.
Born May 30, 1948 in Baker Hill, Alabama, Betty was the daughter of the late Luke and Iva Mae Gulledge Hutto, Sr. Betty was preceded in death by her daughters, Tonya Renae Wood and Audra Youngblood.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Smith; her sons, James E. (Katie) Bennett, III and Clinton L. (Heather) Smith; two grandchildren, Hunter Register and Cal Youngblood; one sister, Elizabeth White Johnson; many nieces and nephews.
JUDITH GAIL STRICKLAND
Judith Gail Strickland, age 70, went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 28, 2024.
Funeral services were held at 11:30 a.m., Friday March 1, 2024 at Pine Level Baptist Church. Rev. Joe Vickers and Rev. Russell Hagler officiated. Special music was provided by Beverly Danford and Meredith Waddell.
Interment followed in the Pine Level Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Larry Long, Dustin Vickers, Jerry Goodwin, Jared Long, Shaun Thompson, Scott Parrish, Gary Teel and Caison Long. Keahey Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Ronny Strickland; son, Nick (Jennifer) Strickland; grandchildren, Emily and Colin Strickland; brothers, Darrell Vickers and Gary (Paulette) Vickers; sister, Kaye (Mike) Pugh; sisters- in-law, Mary Thompson, Brenda (Larry) Long, Marietha Strickland; several special nieces and nephews.
Gail was preceded in death by her parents, George W. Vickers and Betty F. Vickers; brother, Ronnie Vickers; sisters, Margaret Vickers and Darlene Pittman; brothers- in-law, Jerome Strickland and Bruce Strickland, and sister-inlaw, Roselyn Strickland Hovey.
