REBECCA FAIRCLOTH HOUSTON

Rebecca Faircloth Houston, a resident of Clayton, Alabama, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2023 at Gardens of Calvary in Columbus, Georgia. She was 84 years old.

Funeral Services were held Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Rocky Mount Methodist Church in Bakerhill, Alabama with Rev. Don Highland officiating and Glover Funeral Home of Clayton directing. A private burial followed in the church cemetery. A visitation was held one hour prior to the service at the church. Flowers were accepted.

Rebecca was born October 7, 1938 in Louisville, Alabama to the late Christopher Hugh and Lunie Flotilla Renfroe Faircloth. She was a graduate of Louisville High School and worked for the Clayton Senior Center for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping, cooking, word search puzzles, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. For many years she enjoyed helping others in her community and for that she will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Charlie Marvin Houston; daughter, Allison McJunkin; four brothers, Andrew Clarence Faircloth, Pete Faircloth, Thomas Faircloth, and Warren Faircloth; two sisters, Jean Davis and Ruby Lee Baker.

Survivors include her son-in-law, Keith McJunkin (Tiffany) of Smiths Station, Alabama; sister, Bertha Baker of Montgomery, Alabama; two grandsons, Tyler McJunkin and Charlie McJunkin; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Gail Miller and Kathy Helms.

Active pallbearers were Douglas Helms, Kyle Helms, Chris Faircloth, Buddy Faircloth, Mickey Faircloth, Blake Beaty, Bruce Casey, and Tuffy Casey.

Honorary Pallbearers were Pitt Williams, Tony Dinkens, James Edward Miller, Tracey Reese, Gerald Faircloth, Bobby Faircloth, Ronald Faircloth, and Mike Odom.
