CLAYTON SENIOR CENTER REMAINS CLOSED - The location that has served as the home for the Clayton Senior Center on North Midway Street has been closed since October 2022. The home is historically significant as the birthplace of Dr. Franklin Jackson, who was a founder of Jackson Hospital in Montgomery. Barbour County commissioners are considering renovating the facility or seeking other locations in which to reopen a site for seniors in Clayton.
