BETTY JANE (CAMPBELL) KENDRICK

Betty Jane (Campbell) Kendrick, 82, of Clio, Alabama passed away February 2, 2023, at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Barbour County on September 10, 1940. She was a 1958 graduate of Barbour County High School and went on to Birmingham and received a degree in business. While in Birmingham she met James Michael Kendrick. She and Mike were married and had two children, Jon and Melissa. She was a faithful and devoted woman, wife, and mother. After 30 years, she retired from Civil Service at Fort Rucker, Alabama. She took pleasure in her family, helping on their farm and serving at her church. Many loved her. She will be greatly missed.

Betty was preceded in death by her father and mother, Wallace and Vera Campbell, and two brothers, Robert Campbell and Dean Campbell.

She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Mike Kendrick; children, Jon Kendrick, Gardendale, AL, Melissa (George) Atnip, Thomson, GA; one sister, Mary Evelyn Beck; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, February 6, 2023 at Sykes Creek Baptist Church (1921 Hwy. 10 Clio, Al. 36017).

The family received friends one hour prior to the service. Pastor Kenneth Andrews officiated. Interment followed in the church cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home of Clio directing.
